Rufus ShinRa and Tifa Lockheart from FFVII.
To be really honest, I started out playing FFVII and hating Aerith. And then going through and playing it some more, I started hating Tifa instead. In the end, I decided I liked both of them and have a never-ending hate for Yuffie (which was already there to begin with).
In the Ergheiz RPG, Rufus and Tifa ended up hooking up...by some weird way. And just to sorta add to it, I took excerpts straight from the RPG. Enjoy!

'His arms closed around her again as they did on the dancefloor before. His lips met hers once again with a bit more passion and less chaste.
And as he took her into his arms, she felt that blush return (as though it had never gone anywhere), and her other hand rose to join the other. Her heart raced and the only thing she heard was her pulse (or perhaps it was his), as her kiss merely cradled his. She hadn't felt such a connection with anyone else before, and it very nearly caught her offguard.
He was feeling not very unlike Tifa, this was a whole new experience to him. Romance was definitely not his forte although he'd rather die than admit it openly. "I.."
As she heard his voice, that soft sound echoing within her mind, her eyes rose up to his and she gave an almost undetected smile. She wasn't going to interrupt him. She gave him a reassuring nod, followed by the brief glow of her cheeks.
"I..care for you." he almost had said the L word but was careful until he knew for sure.'
